Located on the ledge of Hog Island, Fort Gorges is a former United States Military fort, though no combat ever took place on site.
Today, Fort Gorges is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a wonderful park to spend the day exploring. Fort Gorges is accessible via boat, kayak, tender, etc.
