What You Missed Over The Winter

The 2024 season is upon us! Everyone at Ocean Havens and all our marinas is so excited for another great season in New England. A lot has happened during the recent off-season, check out some important updates from your favorite boating destinations:

Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina

The shipyard welcomed some new tenants this year, including Freedom Boat Club. Construction began in building 31 to prepare for DEME Offshore US to move into their new United States headquarters. The Downeast Cider Garden pop-up has returned for another summer and we are looking forward to the opening of the ICA Watershed later this month!

Provincetown Marina

The parking lot at Provincetown Marina underwent repair during the recent offseason. 9 Ryder Restaurant is opening Thursday, May 9th for another season offering delicious food made with fresh ingredients. The Provincetown Tennis Club is entering its 100th year this year, a historic milestone and a great place to pay a visit to while in P-town!

Harbor Fuels

Harbor Fuels is working on a new shed on the fuel dock this season, as well as painting the outer fuel dock. We will soon be sporting a new look to welcome boaters while they fuel up!

Charlestown Marina

Charlestown Marina is excited to host Kids in Boating Day again this year on June 8th. We are getting ready to open a new bike storage space on Pier 8 for our marina guests, and have also added a new golf cart to our fleet to cruise around the marina in style.

Fan Pier Marina

Fan Pier Marina saw upgrades to the pedestals on our megayacht docks this offseason. We are excited for the return of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, happening on June 8th this year. The seaport neighborhood is continuing to grow, the F1 Arcade just recently opened its doors just down the street from the marina.

Fore Points Marina

Fore Points Marina is excited to introduce boaters to our new Assistant Office Manager, Lucy Comaskey! There are always new things to see in Portland, some new restaurants we are looking forward to trying this summer include Papi and The Ugly Duckling.

Boston Yacht Haven Inn & Marina

Boston Yacht Haven is excited to introduce a new dockmaster this season, William Conway. William may be a familiar face to anyone who traveled to Vineyard Haven last season.  Prior to working on the Vineyard, Will spent 4 years in the United States Navy where he toured around the world.  In his free time Will enjoys golfing, fishing, skiing and when he’s not busy maintaining the docks, he loves training his dog! The BYH renovations this off-season included renovations to our bathrooms, ongoing revamping some of our docks, enhancement to our internet connectivity by adding Starlink. The inn at BYH welcomed guests from 23 countries in 2023 and we look forward to welcoming visitors from around the world again this year!
